Hi everyone. It's been too long but I am still here doing what I love!
Lots has happened since we spoke last time. I have an exhibition on at the moment in China. It's a part of the Chinese Contemporary Photography Show.
I am also being published in a book and also a magazine. I cannot forget the Professional Photographer issue I was in-Big thanks to Mr Dench.
There is lots more to reveal but not just yet. I shall let your eyes feel the goodness when it arrives.
Also I would like to request all my followers to please reveal themselves for invites and updates beyond the blog.

Telegraph newspaper spread!

Greetings to one and all. I did a shoot a little while back for the Telegraph which you can see here. The hard copy will be out on the 21st of August. Big thanks to all at Telegraph and also dear Daisy who was a pleasure to shoot.

My fascination with light continues. This time it's brilliant white.
I had the opportunity to experiment in the studio with a lovely outfit designed by Rasha Swais. Made from white linen. It lends itself to scenes within a deserted landscape where only light exists.
I guess it is fair to say that just like the blue series this is also research and in the very near future I will utilise all these layers of light for something different.
In the meantime enjoy!

Mistresses TV Series.

Over the last couple of weeks I had the opportunity to shoot on the set of the TV series Mistresses. In a forthcoming episode there is a character in the series who is a photographer so all the images he has taking in the series will have been shot by myself. I shall off course keep you posted on dates.
It was a great experience and I look forward to doing it again. I would definitely like to shoot more units and maybe a state side visit will be in order.

A Spring update!

It has been a while since I have posted anything on here but in all honesty I have been very busy.
I am in the progress of making two pieces of work and thinking of making an interesting yet obvious addition to the 'Girls' series. I have begun shooting boys as well so will keep you in the loop about that!
The Al-ghurba series is going well although a little too slow for my liking but this can be the nature of photography. The interim show for Al-ghurba will be in June over at the British Arab Centre and then there is talk of a larger exhibition in a larger space where I will be able to display more work.
I am also embarking on more 'fashion' photography but like I said on a facebook status a while back I care not to impress but to create. Well it was something like that! There is another shoot lined up where the 'Blue' idea will come to life in glorious colour.
The MA is going well and I will now be showing the 'Girls' series as part of the work which I am quite happy about and is an apt follow on to the 'Female boxers' series.
So no images today but there shall be a few treats on my updated website (Big thanks to G I D)!

Blue.

Whilst shooting my 'Girls' series and waiting for the next sitter to arrive a friend of mine was kind enough to let me take a few shots of him.
Blue is one of my favourite colours so I tweaked the lights in the studio and also a few tweaks within photo shop gave me these results. A Stone cold blue. Watch this space!

In this series I am taking a look at the Central and Eastern European aesthetic.
Can it be said that females within a specific geographical location have a distinct look that is intrinsic to that part of Central or Eastern Europe?

This series is all about my area. Tottenham for me is my home and a place that is full of diversity. I spent about four months wondering around with my Hasselblad and observing people and locations. These portraits are just a small part of what I discovered.
